“We won't train on your data” is not the same as redaction

When teams evaluate AI safety, they often stop at a single checkbox: does the provider train on our data? A 'no' feels like enough. It isn't.

Two very different guarantees

A no-training promise is a guarantee about retention and reuse: your data won't become training material. Redaction is a guarantee about transmission: the sensitive data never reaches the provider in the first place. The first trusts a third party to honor terms; the second removes the need for that trust entirely.

The safest data is the data that never left your boundary.

Why regulated teams need both

For a privilege- or HIPAA-bound organization, 'they promised not to train on it' is a hard story to tell a regulator if a breach occurs. 'The identifiers were stripped before transmission, and here's the immutable record proving it' is a much stronger one. Wardary does the second, on top of provider terms that already do the first.
